The KimbleCo team is fresh off of its annual meeting, a review of 2020 and its look forward to 2021. We had a great year and we thank our clients and supporters for entrusting us with their commercial real estate needs.
We share this blog because, like every year before, we have learned so much. This year has been like no other, “unprecedented” as everyone is saying.
Each year we brainstorm a word or theme for the year. We landed on Promise for 2021. We believe there is a lot of this in all our futures. We are extremely hopeful for all that word means and contemplating the pleasant expectation of good things to come.
KimbleCo continues to value being an EOS® company and have our “Traction” book right next to us during the annual meeting. It is a great framework for a growing company and a wonderful tool for a small business owner. The meeting is a healthy balance of personal and company reflection and planning.
Our efforts to challenge our VTO (Vision Traction Organizer) each year are taken very seriously. This process helps us to critique, clarify and focus our business. To adapt as necessary as the world and industry changes.
We start with a review of our core values. The foundation of the company. Careful review was made this year and we thought we might simplify them but found them too true to change. Our core values remain the heart and soul of who we are as team members and a company. We’ve shared before why they are so important to us and this information lives on our website and corresponding blog articles.
We are still really in a sweet spot with our passion about our industry and the role we play in it, and the services we offer. We are firmly in our niche of optimizing real estate and are translating our unique strengths to benefit you. Over the course of this year we will share more about the elements of the KimbleCo VTO because they directly relate to how we serve you and create benefits for your company.
Our scorecard assesses important measurable statistics that help us achieve our goals. It pushes us to stay focused. As a company we are improving on this aspect but there is still room for improvement!
Some important things we have realized and learned from a rather unusual year.
We:
are resilient and can pivot
can work in new ways
can generate new business and be profitable working virtually
love our families even more – even when we spend more time than usual together
can learn virtually and help our kids to do so too
can eat healthier and move more
had less travel time that created greater efficiency that increased productivity with time to spare
slowed down and found incredible joy in this
got to know our neighbors better in all the good ways
now make eye contact when we bike and walk and we actually connect with people
have learned to value a hug more than we could ever know to value it before
will never take dinner out, happy hour on the patio or coffee with a friend for granted again
have learned to survive, to persevere, to thrive in the midst of challenge and to hope
If you made it this far – thank you for reading our blog posts! We work to make sure that there is a reason for you to read them. We invite you to give us a call if you want to understand more about how the EOS model has helped us. And most of all we hope for the promise of all good things for you, your family and your business.
